Referring to Your Excellency's letter No.70/G of 5th instant, I have the honour to enquire whether you are prepared to grant to the Admiralty that portion of the site within the double line which is coloured green on the attached plan, together with the site of the Laundry at the rate of 30 cents a square foot and a nominal Crown rent of $1 per annum, and further whether you will permit of the formation by the Admiralty of the approach road indicated without further payment by them to the Colony.

2. With the addition of the Laundry the area of land referred to is about 31,230 square feet, but it will be determined more exactly in the course of a few days when a more accurate survey will be forwarded.

3. If these are the terms offered, I am prepared to advise the Admiralty to accept them, but I shall be glad to be informed if you have any objection to our proceeding.
